pas de deux

“I don’t think it’s so hard to learn new steps but it’s hard to get the results…I see the whole product, then I take it movement by movement; correction by correction…A lot of it is just going for it and throwing away the fear of looking stupid and not holding back so much...It’s a really weird experience because it’s fun at the same time as it’s something you really want to do...Knowing that you can do it before you step on to the stage is important; having that confidence in yourself that you know you’re doing it without question…If I think too much I’m going crazy out of my mind. For me it’s best just to do it; jump into it and not worry too much and that’s when I feel great; when I just dance.” Reflections from the Royal Danish Ballet  – a cultural gem founded in the 1770s.
